My mugs are meant to be used and loved!! They are made with love and care, and should be cared for in return. Follow these best practices to keep them looking brand new for a long time!
All my mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe, UNLESS they have attached crystals, holographic luster, 22kt gold luster, and/or epoxy resin designs.
If your mug has any of these specialty features, please DO NOT place them in the microwave (especially the gold!). Handwash only with warm soapy water. Do not allow them to soak or be submerged in water.
Mugs with holographic luster are technically microwave safe, but definitely shouldn’t go in the dishwasher or the luster may fade.
To avoid thermal shock in all handmade mugs, quickly run the mug under warm water before filling with hot liquid. Always avoid filling a cold cup with hot liquid.
When bringing a new mug into your home, I always recommend giving it a good hand-washing, whether or not it’s dishwasher safe. This is to ensure that every surface has been scrubbed clean! Mugs without gold and/or holographic luster, crystals, or epoxy resin designs may go in the dishwasher thereafter.
