Suncatcher Planter Care Tips

Suncatcher Planter Care Tips

This blog post is meant to provide insight on caring for a Suncatcher Planter. These planters are my original design and creation, and I consider them to be functional art pieces. While they should absolutely be used and loved, it is important to follow these guidelines to preserve the life of your pot!

• These pots do not have drainage. It is intended as a decorative planter, wherein a plastic nursery pot can be placed. Please do not “pot” a plant with heavy stones as drainage — this planter can hold approx 8 lbs, water weight included.

• Do NOT hang outside. The metal accents are tarnish-resistant but should not be exposed to the wind and rain. Take care when watering your plants to avoid splashing water on the metal accents. Even tarnish resistant metals may develop rust after continued exposure.

• Only hang from a sturdy wooden beam or a wall stud. Do not use a suction cup hook on the window. A “plant hanging kit” is included with every pot that contains a strong bolt and chain to suspend your planter from the ceiling if you so desire!
